2022-23 Before and After School Care Coordinator

The Northfield Park District is seeking qualified, enthusiastic, energetic, fun, and motivated individuals who love working, playing, and interacting with children for our Before and After School Care Programs for children kindergarten to 3rd grade. This position is during the 2022-23 school year and is part-time. Applicant must be available Monday-Friday 7-8:30am and/or 2:45-6pm during the school year. 

Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years old and have 2 years of experience working with children. Enrollment in, or completion of, a college degree in education, recreation or related field is highly desirable. 

Hours (Hiring for 5-day a week morning and/or afternoon shifts): 1/9/23-6/7/23

  • Morning Shift: M-F, 7:30-8:30am
  • Afternoon Shift: M-F, 2:45-6pm

Salary: $15-20/hour DOQ.

Duties and Responsibilities: Plan and implement daily activities for children. Daily activities include arts and crafts, athletic games, and other enrichment play. Comply with all Park District safety guidelines. Communicate in a positive manner with participants, parents, school personnel, staff, and supervisors. Be responsible for the safety of all children participating in Before and After School Care Programs.

2022 Seasonal Parks Maintenance

The Northfield Park District is seeking qualified, motivated individuals for seasonal park maintenance work. The Park Maintenance position is responsible for the general upkeep of our parks which includes operation of equipment used for mowing, landscaping, athletic field maintenance, and other related tasks including manual labor.

Qualifications: Must have a valid driver’s license. Skill and knowledge of basic turf and landscape equipment and tools is preferred.

Hours: 7am-3pm, Monday-Friday. Flexibility possible.

Salary: $12-13/hour DOQ.
