Before and After School Care Coordinator
The Northfield Park District is seeking qualified, enthusiastic, energetic, fun, and motivated individuals who love working, playing, and interacting with children for our Before and After School Care Programs for children kindergarten to 3rd grade. This position is during the 2021-22 school year and is part-time. Applicant must be available Monday-Friday 7-8:30am and/or 1:30-6pm during the school year.
Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years old and have 2 years of experience working with children. Enrollment in, or completion of, a college degree in education, recreation or related field is highly desirable.
Duties and Responsibilities: Plan an implement daily activities for children. Daily activities include arts and crafts, athletic games, and other enrichment play. Comply with all Park District safety guidelines. Communicate in a positive manner with participants, parents, school personnel, staff, and supervisors. Be responsible for the safety of all children participating in Before and After School Care Programs.
Hours (Hiring for 5-day a week morning and/or afternoon shifts): 8/25/21-6/10/22
- Morning Shift: M-F, 7-8:30am
- Afternoon Shift: M-F, 2:30-6pm
Pay Range: $15-$20/hour DOQ.

North Suburban Special Recreation Association
North Suburban Special Recreation Association (NSSRA) facilitates year-round recreation programs and services for children, teens and adults with disabilities who live in 13 northern suburban communities, including Northfield.
NSSRA is similar to a park district; however, they only serve residents with special needs.
