Science Made Fun STEAM Club - Join High Touch High Tech Chicagoland's REAL Scientist for an exciting after school science adventure. Each day we meet we will cover new topics in STEAM. Everything we do will be entirely hands-on and will include a take-home experiment at the end of each day. Elementary Drawing with Young Rembrandts - Mondays

Let’s make this back-to-school season a masterpiece! Young Rembrandts’ drawing lessons will ignite your child’s creativity and sharpen their artistic skills. We’ll tackle creative projects like a detailed gumball machine, a mouthwatering sandwich, and a dazzling Egyptian headdress that’ll whisk your artist back in time. A fall-themed illustration will introduce them to warm and cool color theory. With every lesson, your child will enhance their art skills, strategic thinking and problem- and self-expression. *Registering for this section of Young Rembrandts (1309-2) enrolls you in Elementary Drawing and Club Dolphin aftercare on Mondays only. Children enrolled in section 1309-2 WILL be picked up by Park District staff from Middlefork School at 3pm and then brought to class at 4:30pm.

Cooking with Sticky Fingers Cooking - Tuesdays

Your kids can have a blast every week discovering how easy and fun it is to cook (and gobble-up!) tasty, healthy globally inspired recipes! Our interactive cooking classes include STEAM, culture, language, geography, history and more. Sticky Fingers Cooking offers young chefs the chance to explore exciting tastes (all seasonal and as local as possible!), master culinary skills (that they can use in family kitchens!) and nourish their bodies and minds. Our talented and experienced Chef Instructors bring all the ingredients, district approved equipment and supplies to lead an engaging, fun, and interactive cooking class with your young chefs in training. Our cooking classes are a BLAST for all ages!

Frozen Jr. with Skyline Studios - Tuesdays

Frozen Jr. expands upon the true love and emotional bond between two sisters. Princess Anna wants nothing more than to see her palace full of people “For the First Time in Forever.” But her sister Queen Elsa has secret incredible ice powers and she must learn to finally “Let It Go.” Along for the journey are Hans, a mysteriously perfect prince, Kristoff, a sarcastic ice-hauler, Sven, a surprisingly insightful reindeer, and Olaf the Snowman who loves warm hugs especially “In Summer.” Frozen Jr. is full of magic, adventure, plenty of humor, and is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!

Frozen Jr. Expectations

Please help your child practice and memorize at home so your actor feels confident on stage. Please be prompt in arrival and dismissal times. All rehearsals are closed (no parents or guests watching). Actors are required to bring their scripts to every rehearsal. There will be no refunds after the first week of classes.

BROADWAY JUNIORS

Skyline's Broadway Juniors is an encouraging introductory musical theatre experience designed for actors in grades K-2nd. Sing, dance, act, and embark on an unforgettable journey to bring the magic of a popular musical to life onstage. Guided by a professional teaching artist, Juniors receive a named role, participate in every scene and song, and gain the courage to perform in front of a live audience. Juniors actors enhance their reading skills as they memorize and recite their lines while bringing their characters to life. Join Skyline's Broadway Juniors, where imaginations soar and young actors develop a passion for performing arts.

Skyline's Broadway Stars is a no-cut program designed for actors in grades 3rd-5th (or 2nd-6th). Sing, dance, act, and embark on an unforgettable journey to bring the magic of a popular musical to life onstage. Guided by a professional teaching artist, Stars level up by singing solos, developing character, and learning fundamental musical theatre choreography. From the moment auditions kick off on the first day, Stars feel the rush of anticipation as they showcase their talents. Every actor who participates is assigned a named role and receives a script and rehearsal materials. The stage is set, and the spotlight awaits.

Hip-Hop with Chicago Loves Dance - Wednesdays

Under the creative direction of skilled Chicago Loves Dance instructors, students will learn choreography to the newest pop/dance songs, show off their creativity in free-style choreography sessions and more. Chicago Loves Dance runs on the philosophy that dance should open your child’s creative abilities and be FUN! We pride ourselves on teaching the self-esteem and socialization needed in everyday life through the activity of dance and performance. The last day of the class will be a parent watch day where they will do a short performance to show off their new talents.

Amazing Art - Thursdays

Get ready for a colorful, hands-on arts and crafts adventure. In this class, young artists will explore a mix of exciting projects, from painting vibrant canvases with acrylics to creating stunning recycled art, delicate watercolors, and hand-painted plaques or figurines. Every session brings fresh new projects, so creativity never stops. Kids will learn fun techniques, experiment with different materials, and take home their masterpieces to proudly display. A great way to build confidence and artistic skills!

Introduction to Cheer with Chicago Loves Dance - Thursdays

Under the direction of Chicago Loves Dance instructors, students will learn cheers as well as poms choreography weekly in this upbeat class. They will learn 3-4 new cheers weekly, work on form, as well as add on to their poms dance routine. The last day of the class will be a parent watch day where they will do a short performance to show off their new talents.
